Tracewell Systems Announces its Next Generation Electronically Secured Mobile E-Tool Cabinet

Columbus, OH — Tracewell Systems is pleased to announce its next generation electronically secured Mobile E-Tool cabinet. The enhanced cabinet has an integrated Common Access Card (CAC) entry system. CAC's are issued to DOD personnel for base access and identification.
Teaming with Hirsch Electronics and utilizing both companies' proprietary hardware and software, Tracewell has designed a user-friendly secured drawer access cabinet for laptop or other personal digital assistant (PDA) storage, and for uploading and downloading of sensitive data while charging the units. User rights are administered across the Air Force network through any authorized user on the network, regardless of the administrator's location.
"Drawer access is limited to predefined user privileges by the system administrator," states Rob Harris, Director of Sales and Marketing for Tracewell Systems. "Once the CAC is swiped, a series of LEDs will indicate a particular drawer the technician has access to open. When the technician returns the laptop or PDA, the system will only allow access to the drawer where the device was removed. This automated technology allows close tracking of critical assets."
