The Tracewell RMP for VXI is the latest in medium-power, rugged, ultra-light chassis from Tracewell Systems. Building on a long history of high power VXI systems and sharing many of the high power RHP design elements, RMP was created for lower power test systems that still require low weight and high strength.  

The RMP uses the same advanced lightweight welded laminate construction as the high-power RHP, but is even smaller and lighter at just 7U and 31 lbs. Like the 11-slot RHP, this 13-slot design includes a welded bridge reinforced cardcage for exception rigidity.  

The power system in RMP includes an 800W power module. This fully plugging design provides excellent performance and is located in the rear of the unit for easy access. System airflow To efficiently manage power, the 13-slot backplane includes high current DIN connectors. 

The high-flow fan module is rear plugging and can produce 320 CFM of airflow at 0.3” of H₂0 board restriction. An RS-485 compatible intelligent monitor system continually tracks fan speeds, VXI DC voltages, inlet and exhaust temperature, and reports current status, operating levels and fault conditions to the host.
